“环保”这个词无处不在.美的空调的广告有“环保”；餐厅的柜台里写着“保护环境,不用一次性饭盒”；每年的“熄灯一小时”也是为了环保.但是,又有多少人能真正做到“环保”呢?
如今,破坏环境的行为如雨后春笋般一个接着一个冒了出来.河涌旁,经常有一堆一堆的垃圾；马路上,总有那么两三口痰；游泳池里,人们随便小便已不属新鲜.在这样的环境下,就算有再多几篇激情澎湃的《人类环境宣言》也于事无补了.
地球只有一个,我们也只有一个家,所以,为了地球,为了我们的家,为了我们的后代,为了同在这个地球的所有生物,我们应该行动起来,亲自去诠释“环保”含义.或许,我们不能做什么惊天动地的大事,但是,哪怕是小事,一件一件的积累下来,也会变成大事.而我,决定用自己的实际行动,支持环保：
一、节约用水,随时关掉水龙头,不因为“忘记了”让宝贵的水资源白白流失——据专家估计,从下个世纪初开始,世界上将有四分之一的地方长期缺水.
为了不让和我们生活在同一个蓝天下的人们因缺水而生病,甚至死亡,这一点,是必不可少的.
二、灯泡换成节能灯.在相同光通量条件下,节能灯比白炽灯可节约电能 80％,用于购买节能灯的费用,在8～10个月的电费节余中就可以收回.为了让山区的孩子也能在灯光下学习,节约用电是最好的办法.
三、不乱扔垃圾,要自觉为垃圾分类.在垃圾中,约50%是生物性有机物,约30%—40%具有可回收再利用价值.2000年,中国产生的六大可回收的废物量分别为：废钢铁4150至4300万吨、废有色金属100至120万吨、废橡胶85至92万吨、废塑料230至250万吨、废玻璃1040万吨、废纸1000至1500万吨.目前我国每年可利用而未得到利用的废弃物的价值达250亿元,约有300万吨废钢铁、600万吨废纸未得到回收利用.废塑料的回收率不到3%,橡胶的回收率为31%.仅每年扔掉的60多亿只废干电池就含7万多吨锌、10万吨二氧化锰.
四、坚决抵制野生动物成品.动物和人类一样,也是地球的主人,也有同样宝贵的生命,我们不能这么自私,为了一己私欲,就剥夺他们生存的权利,保护动物,等于保护了生物圈,最终受益的还是我们自己.
五、用公交车或自行车代步.汽车尾气中含有一氧化碳、氧化氮以及对人体产生不良影响的其他一些固体颗粒,尤其是含铅汽油,对人体的危害更大.减少尾气排放,是我们共同的责任——除非你喜欢被让你“慢性自杀”的废气包围.
其实,要环保,我们可以从身边的小事做起,保护环境,要做到的绝对不止上面五条.我们可以每天做一点,日积月累,我们为地球也做出了一份不小的贡献.为了我们共同的家——一个没有人可以擅自破坏的家——请和我一起,行动起来,有自己的实际行动告诉所有人,什么才是环保!

The words“Environmental protection ”could be seen everywhere: "environment protection idea" in Midea advertisement, "away from disposable dishwares" on the bar of restaurants, action of "one hour lights-out". But how many people in deed could fulfil this task?
Nowadays, there are increasing damages to the environment: piles of garbage along the river, spitting on the road, pissing in the swimming pool at will, which are not rare to see.Under such circumstance, it is by no means to be helpful with even more passionate .
There is only one earth, so is our home. For this, for our home, for our next generations, for all the lifes on this planet, we shall take actions to realize the "Environmental protection" by ourselves. We may not be able to do something great and amazing, but we could do each little things, which could be gathered and accumulated to realize our great task. And I, decided to take pratical actions by myself to suport it：
First, water-saving at any time. To close the faucet to avoid waste of the valuable water resources. It is estimated that,from next century, one-fourth of the world will be short of water for long time. To avoid those who share the same blue sky get illed or even dead due to lack of water, it is a must.
Second, change from bulbs to energy-saving lamps.In the same flux condition, energy-saving lamps could save 80% than incandescents. The cost of the energy-saving lamps could be saved after 8-10months usage. To enable those children in distant mountains and rural areas study with lights, it is the best way.
Third, no rubbish-throwing and make classification of it. Amonth the rubbish, about 50% is biological, and about 30%-40% could be recycled. In 2000,the top six recycled rubbish of china are：waste iron 41.5 to 43 million tons, waste non-ferrous metals 10-12 million tons , waste rubber 0.85 to 0.92million tons, waste plastic 2.3 to 2.5 million tons, waste glass 10.40million tons , waste paper 10 to 15 million tons.At present the value of recycled rubbish but have not beed used from the waste is upto 25 billions yuan,about 3 million tons of waste iron and steel、6 million tons of wastes paper are not used and recycled. The recycling rate of waste plastic is no more than 3%, rubber only 31%. On the 6 billion of waste dry batteriesbatt contains aover 70thousand tons of zinc, 100thousand tons of Manganese Dioxide.
Fourth, refuse buying the products made of wild animals. Animals are same as human beings, who are also the host of the Earth, with the same valuable life. We could not be so selfish to deprive their lifes. To protect them is to protect the balance of the Nature, and protect us as a result.
Fifth, to take bus or ride ricycles instead of cars. The waste air from cars contains solid particles such as Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides which damage people's health. Especially the Leaded petrol makes even worse. To decrease the emission of waste air is our mutual responsibility --- unless you'd prefer to be surrounded by the air of Chronic Suicide .
In fact, to make environmental protection , we shall do from the trival chores from ourself. To protect the evironment is by no means to be limited by the above-mentioned 5 terms. As long as we do one by one everyday, we could make a quite big contribution for the Earth. For our mutual home---a home that could not be damaged by anyone at will, please follow me, join me, and let our actions speaks for all,and tell all what is environmental protection!
