我对Unless的用法比较困惑,想请教下面的句子,然后请帮我回答以及分析一下为什么,
Which of these sentences can be rewritten with unless?
1.I will be surprised if he doesn't have an accident soon.
2.It will be better if we don't tell her anything.
3 You can have the car tonight if Harriet doesn't need it.
4 I will tell you if I can't come.
5 I am going to dig the garden this afternoon if it doesn't rain.
6 She'd look nicer if she didn't wear so much make-up.

其实很简单的,unless 和if not有时候可以互换,你这里基本上都是if的从句,所以说你自己也感觉到if和unless 又是什么关系似的.其实unless 和if not有时候可以互换,但在有些情况下不能互换.
1. 当所述条件要引出一种新的想法或情况(而不是结束已存在的想法或状态)时.
2. 当要引出一个表示假想的(imaginary)条件句时.
当这两个情况出现时,你就只能用if ...not,而不能够用unless
1.这句话就不能用unless来改写,因为这是一种条件引出来的一个想法或者情况..
2.和上句类似,所以也不能改写..
3.You cannot have the car tonight unless Harriet doesn't need it,这句就可以改,因为没有我所说的上面两点..
而第四局,第五句和第六句全部都是和第一句,第二句一样的原因,所以我就不必重复解释了...其实很简单的...
