A错了,是因为advocate应该用advocating的形式吗?

C错了,怎么改?
1、首先,advocate不光是做verb“主张”“提倡”的意思,还可以作名词,意思是supporter.第二,advocate的用法错了,(v.)advocate sth./advocate +clause (n.)advocate of/for sb./sth.,这是固定搭配.第三,你没有理解这个句子的结构,A powerful advocate for equal rights,Belva Lockwood was...,在这个句子里,A powerful advocate for equal rights,是一个同位语,是用来详细说明 Belva Lockwood身份的.第四,这个句子不能用advocating,因为前面有冠词 “a”.
2、 首先,turned to the faint sounds不是谓语,而是非谓语中的过去分词形式的定语,用来修饰ears,意思是,转向微弱的声音的超灵敏的耳朵.第二,made by small creatures concealed under leaves也是过去分词形式的定语,用来修饰faint sound,意思是,其他隐藏在叶子下的小生物发出的微弱的声音(concealed也是过去分词形式的后置定语).所以这些定语们迷惑了你,让你无法看清句子结构,事实上原句是sentence fragment,即两个没有谓语的句子碎片.这样一分析,就可以看出,句子的主干是A great owl flies/flew low across a forest clearing(注意fly的不同变形),而后面都是分词,分别讲述翅膀和耳朵,没有破坏平行结构.

4、原句简直乱七八糟,which duration的表达很尴尬,先行词指代不清,不够直接,这叫awkwardness .C选项一样乱七八糟,lasted the duration of a week ,请问last the duration到底是什么说法,一样awkwardness.D选项简洁明了,用两个句子一个and说得清清楚楚,读起来也更顺口.这种题目,建议你大声读出来,用语感来体会.实在没办法,看最短的选项,一般最短的读起来不乱的就是正确选项.
5、我也曾经做过这一题,有印象,可是我记得题目里是no one objects to .尽管毫无疑问,no one 后面谓语是单数形式,这题很明显是连词用错了,语义不通,应该把when换成because.或者有可能是书印掉了,既然自己知道正确用法,就不要纠结了.
6、很明显时态不对,看见then没有,被腐蚀之后才会开始出现迹象,前面的句子已经用了过去完成时,后面的从句怎么能再用呢.
7、B答案里面的while是副词,因为在这里的意思是,当shopping的时候,表示一个时间段.while确实还可以做连词,但它做连词的时候是表示contrast,后面要接一个【句子】.况且,不要什么v大于doing,会选择C是因为这里需要一个转折的含义,读一读句子,我爸爸从来没有学过计算机,但是,当他购物的时候,他能在脑海里精确的算出账单.两个结构和意义完整的句子,用一个but连接,再好不过了.
8、首先,rather than这个词组告诉你谓语是由它前面的名词单复数决定的.其次,并不是habits are the keys,而是 永久的改善吃饭和运动的习惯 才是 控制体重的关键.这个从句的主语是一句话,明白了吗.permanently modifying eating and exercise habits 这个分词作主语.你没做对的原因是没有理解整个句子的意思.所以,谓语不是are,而是is.
9、result 在这里的意思是导致.导致的短语是result in ,固定搭配.但是the student listens but does not participate是一个从句,我觉得可能是results that the student...反正,as在这里是绝对不对的.
