我看了新概念三第五课,讲解如下：Hundreds of steps 主语lead to 谓语the high wall宾语 which（从句引导词作主语） surrounds（谓语） the president's palace（宾语）定语从句做wall的定语,本句是直接英语,主从句谓语动词都用一般现在时；而在However,he had at last been allowed to send a fax in which he informed the editor that he had been arrested while counting the 1,084 steps leading to the fifteen-foot wall which surrounded the president's palace.中leading to 现在分词,后置定语,补充说明主语,且,主从句谓语动词的时态用过去相应的时态.懂了吗?
