If you are a full-time student in college,money is always going to be an issue.The first thing you have to consider is whether you are going to have enough money to pay for the tuition forthe fall and spnng semesters.Most colleges offer scholarships and financial aid.As a last resort,you can get a student loan.Most students do get approved for the loans.Still,if you have your living expenses and tuition paid for,you'll have other things to consider.These include food,unless you are on the meal plan,clothing,personal hygiene1 products,books and entertainment-you want to have a fun time at college also.
Eat Out Less - One of the main reasons why people have a hard time financially in college is that most student's money will end up going to food. Eating out will kill your pocket. It doesn't seem that expensive when you spend $5 for a meal here and there, but they will add up throughout your week and take away the money that could be going towards things your really want to do. If you at a dorm, eat in! You already paid for your dorm food so take advantage of it. I know dorm food isn't the best, but its free food, the best kind! If you are living at an apartment, get a bulk amount of food at your local grocery store and start cooking. Making your own meals is not only much better for your health, it will save you a huge amount of dough in the span of your academic year.
Spend Less At The Bars - Another reason a lot of people tend to lose money in college is because they spend way too much money when they go out to the bars or clubs. I would suggest to pre-drink a bit more before you get to the bars so you won't have to spend any money on the overpriced drinks. Drinking a couple more beers at your place instead of spending the money at the bar will save you a fortune down the line.
