在英语中,修饰名词的成分是定语,而修饰形容词,副词,动词及整个句子的成分是状语.
eg .The boy 【 in the school uniform 介词短语修饰 boy ,是定语】 is my little brother .
The boy came into the classroom 【with a book in his hand 介词短语修饰动词 came into the classroom ,是状语.】.
The boy 【 sitting at the table 分词短语,修饰 boy ,作定语】 is lovely .
