do you have anything to be taken to your brother
为什么用to be taken而不是to take呢
就像i have a lot of homework to do一样

其中一个义项,have = must / should
按此理解,
have sth to do = i have to do sth,i must do sth,or i should do sth
I have a lot of homework to do.= I have to do a lot of homework.
这种情形下,have (got)不可以理解为汉语的'有',应理解为:必须,需要,应该,
而,在本标题问题中,
Do you have anything?
此处的have 却是'有'的意思.
顺着这个意义,人所'拥有'的物品,需要被以一定方式'处理'的,当然是 to be done,
所以,
Do you have anthing to be taken to your brother?
2.换一种解释,是中国教科书和测试题目中非常多见的.所谓,
I have sth to do .我(自己)有些事情要做.处理事务的'人',自己处理事务.
Do you have anthing to be taken to him?出题目者无非就想是想告诉我们,
带走这个物品的人,不是拥有这个物品的人.所以,其后应该是 to be done 做修饰成分.
由此结构类推,
I have sth to be done 我有点事情需要别人去处理.实际上,在地道的英语中,说英语的人,跟本不这么说,根本没有I have sth to be done.的结构.他们可能会说:
There is sth to be done.
也就是说,
Do you have anthing to be taken to your brother?这样的话,只有在中国英语教师的笔下,口中才会出现.
面对这种题目,只要记住:
1.这个物品是他亲自处理,就用to do; 否则,让别人来处理,就是to be dong.
2.但是又要注意,have sth done ,与这个结构,根本是两回事.如果按这个用法,
Do you have anthing taken to your brother?才是对的呢.
所以,有些测试题目很大仙儿.不知道出自那些语法大师,语法老师的傻瓜B的大脑.
