The pie charts shows how the population consist of by three group of different age range in Yemen and Italy in 2000 and projections for 2050.
As can be seen from the graph, in Yemen, apart from the group of children who are under 14, the other two groups are expected to increase by different degrees. People who aged between 15 and 59 rising from 46.3% of total population in 2000 are projected to reach 57.3% and those who are over 60 accounting for 3.6% in 2000 are expected to take up only 5.7% of total population by the year 2050.
When it comes to Italy, dissimilarly, except a predicted rise in the group who are over the age of 60 from 24.1% in 2000 to 42.3% in 2050, the other two group are expected to decrease in the percentage of total population. Specifically, children who are under 14 accounting for 14.3% but are expected to be 11.5% in 2050 while those aged between 15 and 59 are predicted to fall from 61.6% to 46.2% by 2050.
To sum up , an increase in the population of old people is a common trend in these two countries as well as a decrease in the group of children under 14.
