Some people feel that high school graduates should go on a tour or work for a period of time before they go on to university. I agree with these people as doing so allows them to gain experiences that cannot be obtained from the textbook. Such experiences may enable them to develop more mature opinions and help them when they go on to university, where questions they deal with are no longer yes-no questions but those that are more opinionated and requiring higher order thinking.
