Does money talk?This is the topic of the recent debate in the daily publication.While some people identify money with happiness,others,however,argue that money does not go hand in hand with happiness.
Those who hold that money is the source of happiness say that with money,they can dress smartly,shop generously and eat out frequently and do whatever they dream of.So in their eyes money can bring comfort,security and vainglory.Chanel,Armani,LV,Gucci etc.They can own whatever you can mention.They have no need to worry about their job (probably they have no job),their living stander,their future.They are really rich man.If you ask them “ Are you happy?” they might immediately say “ of course!”
However,others consider money to be the root of all evils.They argue that riches alone don’t add to happiness in life.Instead,the mentality of getting rich overnight by any means has corrupted the minds of many people and the lust for money has led some people to committing such crimes as stealing,robbing or drugs trafficking.Even some office workers devote themselves to work.They are working harder and putting in longer hours then ever just for the latest Chanel handbag or an Armani suit.Working has become more central than ever to their lives providing personal fulfillment as well as a paycheck.
In my opinion,money itself is neither good nor bad.What really counts is how you earn it and what you do with it.A job is more than a paycheck:it helps establish one’s identity and provide one with a sense of achievement,which makes a great difference between a meaningful life and an aimless one.As a proverb goes,money is a good servant but a bad master.To live a happy life,we must learn to be the master of money instead of the slave of it.
