elieve my college life benefits me greatly. I don’t think a college is only a place where people learn skills and get knowledge but also a place they learn something else, something even more important.
I think the most important thing that the college life teaches me is how to be independent. Before entering the college I used to depend on my parents a lot, and I didn’t know how to take care of myself. But life here is different.In the past years,I did everything by myself and I managed to do them well.” This teaches me one thing: “one has to be independent to be successful in college.”
Meanwhile, I have known that to be independent doesn’t mean to keep myself away from others. On the contrary, the college has taught me how to get along well with others and how to express myself and how to understand others.
All of the above have helped me develop my personality and form my own opinion of the world and society. Now I believe that one of the main tasks of higher education is to help someone become independent.
I will try my best to develop my independence.
