Celebrate What's Right with the World
对Organizational Behavior这种“软”课总不感冒.本科时其实就领教过了.记得那时候,差不多就是记了X/Y/Z理论的皮毛,便开始在期末考的纸上自我发挥…….还用说,以“硬”方法来学“软”东西,根本消化不了,考试椅子上的余温还没消,X/Y/Z就全从大脑小脑里一块欢快地跑调了.
今天上Wayne Baker的这门课,惊奇地发现这种课原来也可以在开场的时候就震人一震,捶人三捶!
这个Baker教授发表了不少东西,其中两本书反响不小,一个是“America's Crisis of Values (Princeton University Press 2005),一本是“Achieving Success Through Social Capital (Jossey-Bass 2000) ,另外是POS（Positive Organizational Scholarship）中心的主任.选这课就是就是冲着他来的,事实证明决策正确.
第一节课先从Southwest Airline开始.以前总认为是SWA就是低成本、低成本,但这次的案例讨论下来,发现SWA的“People Department”,SWA的“Work is important,don't spoil it with seriousness”,特别是从其精神领袖Herb Kelleher开始的“Fun”文化（Work should be fun,it can be play enjoy it）,从而真正让员工体验到如家的工作环境,从来自觉地激发工作潜能和效率,主动或志愿作各种工作,完全围绕客户服务为中心,才是SWA的看家法宝,让西南航空35年始终盈利,成为所有企业的典范.
