Shenanigan
Shenanigan这个词的拼写看上去不像英语,发音也比较怪,看来必有一段来历了.它的意思是“恶作剧、诡计;欺诈”.儿童之间嬉闹和商场上的欺诈都可称为shenanigan.

Out of whack
Whack是个口语,意思是“(用棍棒)猛打”,但是out of whack可跟“猛打”没有一点关系,而是用来形容“不正常、不对劲”的情形,所以下次发现有什么不对劲的情况,除了用something wrong、out of order之外,你还可以说的更地道:out of whack.

Canard
说“谣言、欺骗”,英语中有个词叫canard.Canard来自法语,本意是“鸭子,鸭式飞机”,于1864年前后在英语中出现.鸭子怎么和“欺骗”联系起来了呢?难道是鸭子生性不诚实吗?

Roger
跟一个外国朋友在网上聊天,他动不动就在对话框里来一个roger.刚开始不知道这个单词是什么意思,后来一查字典才明白roger就是OK或者I understand,即:“好、行、收到、知道了”.
