I still remember the first lesson I ever gave.I had plannde it very carefully .But as the time to start approached ,I began to feel terribly nervous .There were loud voices coming from the classroom but when I opened the door ,the noise died down quickly ,and by the time I reached the front of the room ,there was complete silence .I introduced myself in what I hoped was a confident voice and then turned to wtite my name on the board .It's a modern whiteboard and the previous teacher's note hadn't been cleaned off .A pupil pointed helpfully to the board cleaner and explained that I had to press firmly on the top to release a spray of water .unfortunately I didn't look at it closely enough and when I pressed the button a jet of water went straight into my eye!
