老师说when和while加现在进行时,但后来又说when加时间状语从句,是一般现在时,

when 后面可以引导两种从句
①时间状语从句,后面可以是过去式,也可以是进行时
when 从句中的动词可以延续,也可以非延续
whicle 从句中动词必须是可以延续的,从句多用进行时态
【注】如果从句中是延续性动词,两个可以互换
如：The students were talking when the teacher came in. -
（此时不能用 while 替换,因为 come是个非延续性动词）
When the students were talking, the teacher came in.
While the students were talking, the teacher came in.
②宾语从句,
如果主句是现在时态,从句可以用任何时态
如：I don't know when he will come.
如果主句是过去时态,从句要用相应的过去时态
如：I didn't know when he came last week.
