Well,most people argue either long report or a speech could be good to express yourself.
clearly,report is something you write and speech is something you talk,it is pretty hard to say which one is better than another.long report is good because of something you write could deeply represent your ideas and fancy words may catch your reader's attention.however,writting can be painful which cost time and depend on level of your writting skills.
On the other hand,speech is something you may grab audience fast if you can do it smartly.speaking is faster than writting,but require self confidence becoz when having your speech and face hundreds of audience is tough.
Thus,both long report and speech has their positive and negative aspects,depend on how you use it.
