这句英语中的问题
her parents had impressed upon 【her】 that it would be unforgivable to miss it and cause the 【friends】【 with whom 】she was going to stay to make two journeys to meet her.
with whom修饰 friends,whom指代主句的her,我这样分析对吗?

whom指代它前面的先行词,也就是friends
主句是 ...and cause the friends to make two jorneys to meet her
从句是she was going to stay with (the friends),所以whom=friends
再问： cause the friends with whom 导致了朋友-----谁的朋友呢？-------with whom------所以whom应该指代her呀？------导致了她的朋友去做什么什么。我觉得with whom 是修饰friends，但是其中whom指主句的her 求解啊
