With the improvement of facilities of colleges, colleges have opened their doors wider. This is good news for graduates from high school because more of them have opportunities to be admitted by colleges and they are faced with less pressure. Also, it is good to everyone because more people will be high-qualified and therefore, the technology will progress and the productivity will be promoted; thus everyone in society will enjoy a better life.
However, some problems may emerge as a result of colleges’ opening their doors wider. The fact that more students accept higher education means a potential higher unemployment. When students graduate from colleges, they face a higher pressure of job-hunting.
From my perspective, we cannot ignore the problems colleges’ opening their doors wider creates in the short run. But in the long run, we will benefit from it because the whole society will progress.
