There once was a speedy hare who bragged about how fast he could run.Tired of hearing him boast,Slow and Steady,the tortoise,challenged him to a race.All the animals in the forest gathered to watch.
Hare ran down the road for a while and then and paused to rest.He looked back at Slow and Steady and cried out,"How do you expect to win this race when you are walking along at your slow,slow pace?"
Hare stretched himself out alongside the road and fell asleep,thinking,"There is plenty of time to relax."
Slow and Steady walked and walked.He never,ever stopped until he came to the finish line.
The animals who were watching cheered so loudly for Tortoise,they woke up Hare.
Hare stretched and yawned and began to run again,but it was too late.Tortoise was over the line.
After that,Hare always reminded himself,"Don't brag about your lightning pace,for Slow and Steady won the race!"

从前有一只兔子到处炫耀自己跑的有多快.厌倦了兔子的吹牛皮,一只叫做稳扎稳打的乌龟,于是向兔子发出了挑战——赛跑比赛.森林里的动物们都集中起来观看比赛.
兔子带头冲出,沿路跑了一会就停下来休息.回头看看稳扎稳打还在后面缓缓爬着,兔子大声喊道：“你爬的这么慢,怎么指望赢得这场比赛?”
兔子得意的伸伸懒腰,靠着路边睡着了,心里想着：“我可以有足够的时间休息.”
就这样,稳扎稳打一直爬啊爬,直到它到达终点.
一旁观看的动物们欢呼雀跃,一边为乌龟加油,一边叫醒了兔子.
醒来的兔子伸伸懒腰,打个哈气,继续它的比赛.但是,已经太迟了.这时的乌龟已经到达了终点.
从此之后,兔子总是提醒自己：“不要顾着炫耀你闪电般的速度,因为稳扎稳打的人会赢得比赛.”
