不管你过去取得了多大的进步你都不可以骄傲.
这里使用了虚拟语气,而虚拟语气是指与过去现在or将来事实相反,
所以这里暗指：你过去没取得什么进步吗?
如果不是,那为什么还要用虚拟语气呢?

whatever / no matter what great progress you may have made 严格地说也是虚拟语气,但却不是对过去的虚拟.

只有在条件虚拟中,“情态动词 + have done”才是对过去的虚拟.这里是让步状语从句,因此虚拟的不是事实上的过去,而是对发生在将来 mustn’t be proud 以前的虚拟.
