我是***的老师,上个学期曾教授他工程数学课程.在我看来,他是一个极具天赋而乐于刻苦钻研的学生.
当我第一次看到他的时候,就为他十分出众的学术潜力和极其敏锐的思考能力感到震惊.而当我得知他曾在全国高中生物理竞赛、数学竞赛和创新大赛等一系列含金量极高的竞赛中获奖时,我更是为成为他的老师而感到极大的兴奋.毕竟数学和物理上的天赋以及扎实的基础是在工程力学方面做出突出成就的有力保障,而超群的创造力和创新精神正是力学领域不可或缺的潜质.
而在此后教授课程的过程中,我也确实感受到了它的与众不同.他能以很多不同的角度来思考问题,并且将看似枯燥的数学问题同实际工程联系起来,这在学生当中是十分难得的.不出我所料,他在系中的成绩一直名列前茅,并且获得学校中最高级别的奖学金.
而在一次学院的活动中,他也让我看到了他音乐方面的卓越才能.他的葫芦丝演奏的非常出色,歌声也很动听.这使我不由得为他的广泛爱好和才能而感到惊讶.
但是他有时候因为过分专注于专业领域的研究和葫芦丝的练习而使自己过度辛苦,这不失为一种美中不足.
我坚信***具有足够扎实的基础知识和专业潜质去*****大学学习,希望贵校能达成他去贵校学习的梦想.

I am XXX’s teacher; I was in charge of his Engineering Mathematics in last semester. He is a talented while assiduous student to me.
I was shocked by his superior academic potential and extremely acute elaborative faculty when I first met him. And I was so excited to be his teacher when I learnt that he was once the winner of those high quality competitions such as the nationwide high school physics competition, Mathematics competitions, Innovation contest and so on. After all, the gifts on mathematics and physics as well as the solid basic knowledge are the important elements for protrude achievements; what’s more, preeminent creative ability and spirit are indispensable merit in science.
As a matter of fact, I also learnt his extraordinary ability during my teaching. He usually saw a problem in different angles, and brought boring Mathematics problems together with those practical engineering, those are barely seen on other students. Sure enough, he was the best student in the department and won the highest scholarship in college.
I realized his brilliant talent for Music in an academic activity. He was playing cucurbit flute at that moment, and the sound was so nice and moving! Till then, I was once shocked by his various hobbies and talents. However, he was so indulged in the surveys on his professional field and the cucurbit flute which makes him too stressful. This may be not so well for him.
I believe that XXX’s strong basic knowledge and professional potential will surely qualified to study in XXX College. That is my sincerely hope that you would help him realize his dream to study in your school.
