Machine is an apparatus used to transform or transmit energy, material and information. There are basically two kinds of machines.One is the machine that tranforms other forms of energy into mechanical energy, which is called the prime mover, such as internal-combustion engine, changing heat energy into mechanical energy; and electromotor, which turns electicity into mechanical energy. The other is called working machine, which uses mechanical energy to tranform or transmit energy,material and information, such as generator, crane and so on.
