Welcome to the zoo,everyone!Here is our plan(安排).Listen carefully.First of all we will visit the Panda House.After that,we will walk to Bird World.Next is the Happy Forest.There are tigers and lions!Don’t worry!The cages are quite safe.
Then,we will have lunch.Everybody will bring his or her lunch,right?Some of you don’t have drinks(饮料)?That’s all right.We can buy drinks at many places of the zoo.
After lunch,we will go to the Snake Mountain.The last is the Butterfly Park.Then,we will come back here and get on the bus.Remember,don’t feed(喂养) the animals.OK!Let’s go!

In 1834,the clock tower in London was burned down.People planned to buil d a new clock which would be the biggest and the best in the world.So the clock had to be big and keep very good time.Several years later the tower was finished.The people put the big clock in the tower,and made it ring out for the first time on July 11,1859.
In order to give the big clock a good name,people held a meeting.Someone wanted to call it the Queen of Bells ,and someone thought Victoria was good .At last,a man named Benjamin Hall stood up.He was a big man.Before he started to speak,someone shouted,“Why not call it Big Ben?” Everybody laughed and agreed with him.
From then on,Big Ben became its name.And it also became a famous building of London.People all over the world write to Big Ben.They even send bottles of oil to help keep Big Ben running.Big Ben is not only a clock but also a dear friend of people.
Men have always travelled from one place to another.
Before they did not travel for fun,but to find new places much better to live in or be away from their neighbours.It was not an easy thing.They always walked from their old home to another new place.But later they found an easier way of travelling.They rode on the back of some animals.They also use the wood to make a little “boat” to travel in the water.
But now people travel for the joy of seeing and experiencing (经历) new things.And travelling has become much easier.People can travel in their own cars,or by train,ship or plane.And it is also safe and comfortable.They can even (甚至) travel to the space,but it’s much expensive.
Starfish are not real fish at all.They are animals that live in the sea.
A starfish looks like a star.Most of them have five arms.Some have seven even more.At the tip(尖,尖端) of each arm is an eye.The starfish has as many eyes as it has arms.
In many ways this animal is different.If an arm is lost(失去),it can grow a new one.If a starfish is cut in two,each piece will grow into a whole new starfish.
Starfish are not good to eat.They once are very pretty(漂亮的).When children find them beside the sea,they like to take them home.
