Mike was showing his friends postcards from the palace in Beijing .He explained that palace was bigger than he imagined.Mike said,“A guide told us that the is bigger than 100 soccer fields!”
Mike told his friends that some buildings.He explained that there were some buildings had to be built again.
On another postcard,Mike pointed out a stream that runs through the palace.The postcard showed that there were some briges over the stream.Mike told his friends that the stream was called the Golden Stream.He also explained that seven bridges went over it.
After they finished looking at the postcards,Zhang Wei asked Mike,“Where did you buy these great postcards?”
Mike replied,“I bought them inside the palace.”He expiained that there was a small store near the exit of the palace.Mike said that the store sells things like T-shirts,postcards,and small gifts.Mike mentioned that he spent a lot of time in the store.“The store had a lot of different postcards,so it was hard to choose.”
Li Jun told Mike that a good choice.The postcaeds were nice.
Mike admitted that he didn’t really choose the postcards.He said,“The woman at the strore chose them for me.She said that they were the best.”
