2012年新东方考研冲刺班必背作文上有这么一句话：Your active participation is helpful to strengthening the sense of reponsiblity and managing interpersonal relations.这里是不是有问题　应该用的是strengthen和manage吧

sth.is helpful to sb.……对某人有助
.is helpful to sth.对……有助

我觉得这里是运用 ,.is helpful to sth.不过就是用动名词形式strengthening the sense of reponsiblity and managing interpersonal relations 来充当sth.而已,这里的动词变ing形式后,就相当于名词形式了~
你的积极参与对加强责任感和管理人际关系这两方面都会有帮助.
再问：那么要是it is helpful to后面是接do 还是doing 呢 it 做形式主语
