My Favorite Festival
My favorite festival is New Year’s Day.I don’t have to go to school.I usually spend two hours on my homework and then enjoy myself.
On New Year’s Day morning,I can get"lucky money"from my grandparents.my mother goes to buy new clothes for me.She likes shopping best.My father dosen’t have to go to work.I stay at home to play computer games with him.The games are interesting and we get quite happy with friends on line.And in the afternoon,we watch TV of CCTV,then we eat dumplings with my grandparents.
What a funny day it is!
After the Sunday dinner,I went to a movie with my classmate.On the way we met a foreign girl who looked very worried.After talking with her in English,we knew that she was a traveler and lived in the Peace Hotel.She told us that she got lost,and we sent her to the hotel.On the way to the hotel,we introduced to her in English a lot about our city's changes.She said that she liked this city very much.And she also told us something about her family and the life in the United States.
Although we missed the movie,both my classmate and I were very happy.We felt that English was very useful to promote the mutual understanding and friendship of the people all over the world.
