看到百度知道上,网友写的一个翻译..请问这个句子对么?

opposite 这里是名词,I am on the opposite of the bank ,这样的用法可以?语法句子是否正确呢?
我感觉语法层面是不是没什么错误，但句子不常用，或是不地道呢？

感觉opposite用的比across from多..老美也比较常opposite.
