1.The often conflicting reports of different polling organizations "make itdifficult" to predict which of the two candidates (is) more likely to winthe election next year.
请注意我打括号的is,此处为什么不用将来时will be?
2.Some doctors believe that the types of injuries sustained in contact sports are no different for children than young adults.
此题正确句型是在young adults前加for,请问这里的than代表什么?没有比较级为什么会有than?另外than前后句子的省略原则是什么?

is + 瞬间动词（win）可以表示未来发生的事情 瞬间动词就是只能维持一瞬间的动作 比如leave enter （你可以离开但不能一直在离开） 相对的那些可以维持一段时间的就不能表示未来 像 write read walk（你可以一直写,听,走路）
这个我并非非常明白...感觉上 different.than.跟different.from...是类似的表达方式...你只能接受有这种固定搭配.所以看different后面的东西和than前面的东西 形成平行...关于省略原则.应该可以省略比较对象以外的所有东西...He is lighter than him...is lighter 省略...但上面这题应该是固定搭配...所以之间要完全平行 比如 both.and...之间完全平行
v+ing就近修饰.所以跟的最近的是cost... 因为后面的句子表示前面的句子的“后果”
再问： 1. 但是我这题问的是为什么不是will be likely 而是 is likely啊…… 3. v+ing不是也可以表示结果么，比如Jack defeated Mike, winning the game. 不一定要就近修饰吧？

再问： 第一题还是没懂，什么叫is + win也能表达 will be likely 的意思？这里是is likely啊，我知道 is winning 可以表将来，但这跟is likely还是will be likely没有联系吧？likely是形容词啊又不是瞬间动词
再答： = = 好像确实没啥联系... 这个问题我不知道怎么用语法回答... will be more likely to 按句意推导说明 将来会很有可能会发生... 感觉上will be likely就是跨越了两个将来... 首先有个将来... 然后在这个将来的基础上 有可能将来会发生什么... likely本身就有表示将来可能的意思... 所以你说 it is more likely to rain 就是在表将来 或者可以说 it will more likely rain... 这些用法比较常见 但是貌似没有见过 it will be more likely to rain... will be 说明将来会发生... likely 说明将来可能会发生 我觉得效果有点重叠了... 抱歉 我没有语法作底子... 我只能说 is 肯定正确... 但是will be正确与否... 我无法确定... 抱歉 这题回答的有点氺....
