in india,people always shake their heads when they talk with each other
it dose not have the same meaning as "no".
if someone wants to visit india,he should know this,or he might get into trouble
one day,a foreign offical is in india on business
he hires a car and an indian to drive it
when he tells the drive to take him to his office,the drive shakeshis head at once
the offical repeats the order,and the driver shakes his again
at last ,the official,of couse,gets very angry
"how dare you refuse my order?"he shouts,"drive me to my offic at once!"
the diver answers in quite a loud voice as well."yes,sir!"
then to the offical'ssurprise,the driver shakes his head at the same time
the car starts,and the offical is now too surprised to say a word
he thinks about it for a while,and then he nods with a smile,"no means yes here!"
