John was ten years old and he was very lazy.He had to go to school,of
course,but he was bored there and tried to do as little work as possible.His father and mother were
both doctors and they hoped that he would become one,too,when he grew up.But one day John
said to his mother,"When I finish school,I want to become a garbage collector."
"A garbage collector?" his mother asked .She was very surprised."That's not
a pleasant job.Why do you want to become a garbage collector?"
"Because then I'd only have to work one day a week," John answered.
"Only one day a week?" his mother said,"What do you mean?"
"Well," John answered,"I know that the ones who come to our house only
work on Wednesday,because I only saw them on that day."

约翰十岁了而且非常懒惰,当然他必须去上学但是他觉得在那儿很无聊所以就试图尽可能少的用功【是不是不太通顺= =】他的爸爸和妈妈都是医生而且他们也希望约翰长大后也成为一个医生.但是有一天约翰对他妈妈说“当我毕业以后,我想成为一个垃圾收集工.”
“一个垃圾收集工?”他的妈妈为他而且非常惊讶,“那是个不错的工作,为什么你想当一个垃圾收集工呢?”
“因为之后我只需要每周工作一天”约翰回答说
“一周工作一天?”他的妈妈说“你是什么意思?”
“好吧”约翰说“我知道那些来我们房子里的人纸在周三工作,因为我只在那天见到他们.”
