随着中国农历新年来临之际，我开始担心—我今年该带些什么礼物回在浙江的家乡呢？这问题一年比一年困难。
10年前那好办多了，我从美国带回家的一切都受欢迎。我通常买了一盒巧克力，或者只是几双袜子。
我爸最喜欢的礼物永远是花旗参。我爸热衷于送礼，当我们走进我的叔叔和婶婶的家里，他常把一盒花旗参悄悄地放在一角，然后我们高兴地吃了糖果和别的东西，而我的叔叔和婶婶就不断地给我爸和我添茶。
当我们要走的时候，我的叔叔和婶婶会看着花旗参跟我爸说：「你怎么又带东西来？别再这样了。」与此同时，他们总是把一大袋我最喜爱的食物塞给我爸。
现在，我们都在找美国制造的礼物，而且一年比一年困难。现在大部分的东西都是在中国、墨西哥和其他发展中国家制造的。最后，我们决定选择美国歌手的音乐光碟，因为那总是我最喜欢的礼物。

As the Chinese New Year is coming, I am getting worried: What gifts should I take to my hometown in Zhejiang this year? The question is getting more DIFFICULT every year.
But it was so easy 10 years ago when I was in the United States and EVERYTHING I brought back home then was popular. I usually BOUGHT a box of chocolates, or just some pairs of socks.
The favorite GIFT of my father was always US ginseng. My father usually joined in the gift giving. He always carried a box of US ginseng and PUT it in a quiet corner of my uncle and aunt's house after WALKING in. Then we joyfully ate candies and something else, while my aunt and uncle constantly poured tea for my FATHER and me.
When we were leaving, my aunt and uncle would LOOK AT the US ginseng and said to my father, "How come you brought things again? NEVER do it again". At the same time, THEY would always give a bag full of my favorite foods to my father.
Now we try to FIND gifts made in the US, and it's getting difficult every year. Most things are made in China, Mexico and other developing COUNTRIES. Finally, we decide to choose CDs of American singers because CDs are always my favorite gifts.
