Nowadays many employees attach great importance to the degrees of their interviewees.As far as I am concerned,high degree does count but it doesn't equal to high ability.Here are my reasons.
First,one has to work hard to attain high degree.Above all,he has to beat a lot of age mates to be admitted to a great major in a key university.Then he has to be occupied in books,papers,ect.That means high degree,partially,accounts for high ability.
However,ability consists of far more than a high degree.Working post taken into consideration,you should not only have professional knowledge,but also the ability to apply it into practice,the ability to move on from past experience,the skills to communicate with your team,the will to overcome difficulty.
Therefore,high degree is necessary but never is it equal to high ability.
