The growth of population has always been the hot issue in every country since it has a great impact on economy, environment and other aspects of society. As a country with the biggest population, in 1982, China puts forward a policy which limits the growth of population and it works a lot. But now, in many countries, they are facing the problem of aging, should their governments make policies to limit the growth of population? I think the answer will be “no”. The following are the reasons to support my opinion.
First, as we have mentioned, the problem of population aging has aroused in many countries and it has affected the development of their economy for the lack of labor. Besides, the ageing also increases the burden for the young people and also the society.
Secondly, in today’s society, many young people have changed their value about birth. Most of them don’t want more than one baby since they think it will affect the quality of their life. What’s more, raising a baby costs too much nowadays. So there is no necessary to make policies to limits the growth of population any more.
At last, population aging has become a tendency in the world and whether or not to limit the growth of population is really a question which deserves the government to reconsider.
