A jewel in Lovina
My boy-friend and I stayed in Rini Hotel in Lovina for 3 nights in September 2004 and wished we had stayed even longer ! The place is a jewel : neat, clean, tastefully decorated, with a gorgeous little pool in lush gardens. The rooms are quite simple, but spotless and large enough. We had an upper room, with a large balcony over the gardens... The staff is extremely kind, breakfast delicious... We had the best of times here. We used the services of a taxi driver we met there, he was very kind and helpful (drove us to Ubud with some stops at interesting points, and he helped us find a nice hotel in Ubud).
Besides, Lovina is quite a good option because it is less crowded than Kuta (though you have hawkers as well), and you can watch dolphins and go snorkeling. The local fishermen all offer the same prices for dolphin watch, no need to bargain.
There are good restaurants too near Rini - try the local specialty of babi guling (roast pork).
Very good value for London
At 50 pounds a night including breakfast, you can't go wrong!
The B&B is located at about a 10 minutes walk from West Hampstead tube in a quiet street. My room was small but had a desk and chair. Breakfast was included for the price (English, Dutch or Vegetarian). WIFI is also available at no extra charge. The staff is friendly and responsive. I could borrow an iron and leave my luggage after the check- out.
The shower was tiny (felt like a little cabin in a campground) but functional.
I was somewhat concerned about the possible noise from the street. In fact, the only noise came from the people walking on the room above and was negligeable.
The little minus is that the location is somewhat away from the 'London for tourist' area (i.e. zone 1). One needs to allow 30-45 minutes from the hotel to reach Picaddily Circus or Westminster by tube.
Overall a good experience that will not blow up your budget. Not a Marriott or Hilton but a pleasant B&B with all basic needs.
Great location and value
Lovely owner met us on arrival and gave her cell phone number in case we needed anything. She does not live on-site. Although named a B&B, no breakfast was actually served. This place had a small kitchen area with chairs and tv which was great as we traveled with another couple so each morning and night we would sit around the table and plan our activities. The owner dropped off rolls and croisants, left juice, cheese, milk, etc. in the fridge. There was also things we could borrow like umbrellas, hairdryers, etc. The location was great, just a couple blocks to the Vatican and a couple more to St Peter's. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops, all around, and great gelato round the corner. The place was neat and clean although showers had little pressure and the beds were hard, but I found this to be the norm across Italy.

Rini Hotel--Lovina的亮点

Leone IV--地理位置极佳,物有所值
可爱的主人来迎接我们,还把她的电话号码给了我们,如果我们有所需要的话.她并不住在这里.尽管名字是B&B,但是没有提供早餐.这里有个小小的厨房间,有椅子,电视,这很不错,因为我们是和另外一对夫妻一起旅行的,每天早、晚我们可以坐在桌旁,计划我们的活动.主人在冰箱里留下了面包卷和羊角面包,果汁,奶酪,牛奶,等等.这里还有我们可以借 的东西,比如雨伞、吹风机等等.地理位置很好,离Vatican只有几栋楼远,离St Peter's再稍微远一点.周围有很多咖啡厅、餐馆、商店,街角还有很好的gelato(不好意思这个不知道是什么).这个地方又整洁,又干净,只是喷头有些缺压,床比较硬,但是我发现这一点在整个意大利都是正常的.
