世界上银河瀑布数不胜数,佛像在亚洲也遍布多国,可是天然的水生佛像却独此一处.这就是传说中的大佛山瀑布——纵观天下,惟我独尊.这座大佛山瀑布蕴藏着许多神奇瑰丽,深藏文思哲理的景物人文故事.
传说,唐朝广东和尚慧能曾到此朝拜,淋浴大佛水后,顿悟成佛,被立为禅宗下祖.慧能在大佛山下打坐的那块奇石被后人敬称为南宗佛理的奠基石.所以,十八水被称作禅宗的发祥地.除此之外,人们在这里还可以看到娃娃鱼这种珍贵的动物.但是要请大家仔细观察哦,这样才可能会看到它们的美姿.

Shi Ba Shui (or literally means 'eighteen waters' in Chinese) is a relaxing and entertaining tourist spot, you may touch rocks, swim, meet new friends, pray for prosperous, luck and health here and therefore, being here is the best choice of all. Next, I'm going to let all of you experience all these activities. But first of all, we must maintain the cleanliness of the environment, please do not smoke or litter.
Let me introduce to you about Shi Ba Shui. Shi Ba Shui locates in Lu Hua Shan Xu area which is 20 kilometres north of Guang Xi He Zhou Shi. It originates from Lingnan Gu Po mountain range and have ten waterfalls bending to eighteen directions, thus named 18 Water.
Inside the scenic spot is full of forests and mountains, waterfalls, wonder rocks, towering trees. It has about 92.3 percent coverage rate of forests and the oxygen anion content is ten thousand per cubic meter and above. The annual average temperature is 18.2 degrees Celcius, it is warm during winter and cool during summer, and with its pleasant climate, it has been regarded as a huge natural oxygen bar in Hua Nan area.
Do you know about the three wonder lands (San Qi Bao Di) of Shi Ba Shui? Frankly speaking, Shi Ba Shui is well-known with its wonder lands of water, rock and tree. The main scenic spots of water wonderland are the 'Da Fo Shui (Big Buddha Water)', 'Yi Kou Shui (One Mouth Water)', 'Huang Chou Bu (Yellow Silk Cloth), 'Er Hao Ban (Two-half Millimeter)', which form mutliple ten-level-folds waterfalls with fall head of about 300 metres and about 60 metres as the widest weight. Look! The water falls on rocks, following with splashes of water droplets and mists, create an awesome dragon-like vigour, very impressive. Its unic fall head making it the most beautiful and vigorous waterfall group in the interface of Gui, Yue and Xiang provinces, and is called 'Guang Xi's Number One Waterfall Group'. Besides, it is also listed in the namelist of China most beautiful waterfall group and is given the name 'Lingnan Jiu Zhai Gou' for its good reputation.
Waterfalls can be found on other places on earth, so do Buddha figures in Asia, however, naturally occur Buddha-figure waterfall can only be seen here. That is, the Da Fo Shan Waterfall (Big Buddha Mountain Waterfall). This waterfall has many magical and philosophical legends.
Legendarily, a Guang Dong buddhist monk, Hui Neng, visited the Da Fo Shan Waterfall. He had a sudden enlightenment of Zen after he showered with the water of Da Fo Shan Waterfall. The wonder stone which Hui Neng sat while he was meditating has been claimed by the people as the cornerstone of Nan Zong buddhism. Therefore, Shi Ba Shui (18 Water) is also known as the place of origin for buddhism. Besides, you may have the chance to see Chinese giant salamander here. But you have observe carefully to see their beautiful postures.
'Wind comes from the sleeves of God - this is the land of heaven, water comes from the bosom of fairies - this is an earthly paradise', this sentence is the best description for Shi Ba Shui.
