Schools should teach children the academic subjects which will be beneficial in their future career,so other subjects like music and sports are not important.To what extent do you agree or disagree these opinions.
There is a general discussion recent years over education among many schools and parents.One of the questions under debate is which is more important between academic subjects and other subjects such as music or sports for students.For most of parents view,they believe that the academic subjects are much more important as it may put their children in a favourable position in future job markets.
This arguement may be true.Especially in China,the competition for examination is extremely fierce;therefore,an increasing number of parents ask their children to accept extra academic programs.They believe that students only study more academic knowledge and doing a lots of academic homeworks can get a higher scores than others during the examinations.Likewise,the majority of people accepted that without an excellent academic background ,one hard to get a satisfaction job and earn a favourable salary.As a result of it,students in growing numbers are believe that they should pay their all attention on academic subjects,thereby improving their examination scores and other subjects are not such important compare with the examination results.
However,people seem to fail to take into account the fact that it is unhealthy for students to spend all time on their academic study.And we have to admit that quite a few students have unpleasant association with a large number of academic homeworks.Not only proper interesting subjects does not occupy their too much time,also relaxing their bodies and ease their minds.Furthermore,many experts point out that physical exercise contributes directly to a person's physical fitness.No one can deny the fact that health plays an essential roles in studying or working.
My view is that students should be encouraged to learn more stimulating courses to expand their outlook,after all,as an old saying goes:All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.Overall,in view of the intense competiton,students should keep the balance between academic courses and other courses.
