I love the elderly and find myself angry all the time that they are treated like they don't matter.It infuriates me when I see and hear about young healthy people abusing the system ,getting assistance from every angle ,driving new cars,getting their hair and nails done,eating like kings,wearing name-brand clothes with NO JOBS !Then you have a elderly man(my daddy) that will soon be 70,has worked as a brick mason his whole life,put all his children through school,bought a home,and saved a lil money.He has recently had major medical problems and is not able to work and make the money he once did.He has had to rely on his children for help because the government won't do ANYTHING for him due to the fact he has a home and gets SS.He will be OK because his children will make sure of it but what about the elderly that have no-one.It peeves me to no end that the elderly did everything right and yet seemed penalized for it and yet u can do nothing with your life and get everything.
