我认为过西方节日是值得肯定的.首先,在现代社会,节日已不再是单纯的庆祝活动,节日的提倡是通过媒体引导下各式各样的消费显现出来的.而圣诞节、情人节等西方节日无疑弥补了消费、媒体和资本这三大元素.相对于现今的中国传统节日,西方节日更能刺激消费,带来商机.如果我们提倡过西方节日,那么传统节日将何去何从?甚至有人认为西方节日的进入导致了中国传统节日的无人问津.对此我方认为,提倡西方节日并不表示西方文化的侵略,相反可以刺激传统节日的发展.传统节日可以吸收西方节日的优点,使其更为吸引人,重新受到国人的喜爱.而那些西方节日更应从中融入中国本土特色,使其更符合中国的民族精神.提倡过西方节日,可以刺激消费、增加人们生活的娱乐性、加快东西方文化的交流发展以及刺激和推动中国传统节日的发展,以达到促进中国经济文化发展,给社会变革带来积极意义的目的.因此,我再次阐述我方观点：“我们应当提倡过西方节日”.
