I am interested in this problem.我对这问题有兴趣.　这个句子里,我们一般都会把 interested 分析为“形容词”.但是,这个形容词却是从动词 interest 演变出来的.　英语 interest 既是名词又是动词,用作动词的时候,意思是“使…有兴趣”.这个动词的作用方向,是中国人不习惯的.　正确使用这个动词的方法是这样的：This problem interests me.这问题（现在/经常）引起我的兴趣.This problem interested me.（这里 interested 是“过去式”.）这问题（过去）引起我的兴趣.This problem has interested me.（这里 interested 是“过去分词”.）这问题（已经）引起了我的兴趣.　如果第一句变成被动句,就会变成：I am interested by this problem.（这里 interested 是“过去分词”,也称为“被动分词”.）我被这问题引起兴趣.　还有一种句式：He interests me in this problem他引起我对这问题有兴趣.　如果被动句,就会变成：I am interested in this problem by him.对这问题,我被他引起兴趣.　事实上,这些理论上正确的句子,英语习惯上都很少甚至不会那样使用的.而最后一句,省略了 by him 以后,反而变成了最常用的句式：I am interested in this problem.对这问题,我被引起兴趣.= 我对这问题有兴趣.　从这个角度,也能说这个 interested 是“过去分词”.不过上述那些被动句几乎是没有人用的,所以更多人会直接分析为“形容词”,把 be interested in 看为“固定词组”.　　再从另一个角度来看,“分词”本来就是“动词”的一个有形容词功用的变化.除了一直在讨论的“过去分词”（也称为“被动分词”）以外,还有一个 "动词+ing" 构成的“现在分词”（也称为“主动分词”）.例如：wash（洗）washing machine（洗衣机：washing = 洗的）washed clothes（洗过的衣服：washed = 被洗的）　再比较：interest（引起兴趣）interesting（引起兴趣的 = 有趣的）interested（被引起兴趣的 = 感兴趣的）　这样理解,就不容易混淆 interesting 和 interested 的用途了.
