My best friend is XXX. He is the first person I know in this university. I met him on the registration day which was also a rainy day. I was a freshman at that time and I was moving all my personal belongs to the university. Because of the heavy stuff and the terrible weather, I was not in a good mood. Suddenly, I found myself totally lost in the campus. I can not find my dormitory building to put down my things. The worse thing is I didn't even know where the registration office is. In the sprinkle and with the heavy things, I have never felt I was that helpless before. I was trying to ask someone for directions, but all of them seemed to be in a hurry. When I was standing in the rain like a homeless kid with innocent and helpless eyes, he jumped in to my sight. He asked me, “Do you need some help?” To me, he was just like an angle. No. He was the Savior to me at that time. I was so excited that I even forgot to answer him but just staring at him. He must have thought of me as a monster at that time. He asked me again, “Is there anything I can help?” I realized he was asking me the same question again. I smiled embarrassedly and said, “Yes. Can you tell me where the dormitory building is?” That was the dramatically meeting between him and me.
After that, he and I became good friends. He is one year older than I am. He is tall with average weight. From a man’s aesthetic, he is kind of handsome. He does not have lots of hobbies. He is very smart. Usually, he did not spend too much time on studying, but his grade was pretty high. He is very good at mathematics and physics. Sometimes, we do discuss about math and physical problems. Even till now, I believe his intelligence comes from his keen on sports. It is said that those who loves sports and exercising must not be stupid. I feel his intelligence and quick mind result from his excellent basketball skills. 答案补充 He really loves playing basketball. You can say he might have not studies or done the homework, but you can never say he have not played basketball some day. We have been playing basketball together for about one year since I met him. But unfortunately, he transferred to University of South California last month. That is a really good university for his major. Being a friend, I am happy for him. I know he will do his best and achieve remarkable success there. 答案补充 Since he just reached the U.S. and has lots of things to do to settle down, we can not chat everyday. He sends me email and tells me about his life there. I reply to tell him my daily life here. I am also considering going to the U.S. for further education and hopefully he and I could be in the same university again. I miss the time we played basketball together.
