My dream
——I want to be a bridge.
Good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen; boys and girls!
Today I am very happy to be here,sharing my dream with everyone!
As we know,everyone has his dreams.However,dreams change from age to age.When I was a little girl,I wanted to be a beauty,a movie star,a pop singer or something like that.At that time ,I put my heart into collecting this or that.for the dreams.Gradually,the dreams are disappearing one by one as I am getting taller and taller.
I didn’t hold on to my dream until last summer vacation.One day I was window-shopping with my mother.,a foreigner came up to us and asked:“Excuse me,how can I get to Huaxi Park?” in English.Encouraged by my mother,I also used English to tell him which bus he should take.He thanked us with a big smile.“How great you are!You can use English to help a foreign visitor!” My mother said to me cheerfully.From then on,I made up my mind to become a bridge.I want people form all over the world to know my hometown.We live in colourful Guizhou.:green mountains,red rocks,white waterfalls,golden fields,especially,different kinds of people,such as Miao people,Dong people,Buyi people,Li people and so on.Different people,different cultures.All of these make up of a colourful Guizhou.
I will introduce my hometown to the world.in English.I will set up a bridge to the world.Through the bridge,the people across the world will enjoy the beauty of my hometown,share the happiness of its people,admire the colourfu cultures of Guizhou.This is what I am dreaming about.
My mother tells me,“ The most important thing is not dreaming,but doing.” In order to make my dream come true,I will learn English well no matter how difficult it is.I will never say die.
