Dear Editor,
I would like to reply to the article “Helping and learning” in your last newsletter.I agree with some ideas and disagree with others.The article said that students should be allowed to take time to help others.I agree it.Because it would be a great experience for us.And I think taking time to help others on weekends is a great idea.For example,we go to the Old people’s home to sing songs and perform a play for them.It can make the old people happy and is good for us.Also,we can know how to respect them.But I disagree that having weekends off to volunteer and help others.Because we are students,we should concentrate on study.After all,study is the first at present.And it also wastes a lot of time on weekdays.Well,there are my opinions.
These days,strange things are happing in Bell Tower neighborhood.Every night we can hear strange noises outside our windows.So everyone is unhappy and nervous.My neighbor Chu family thought it might be the neighbors.Because they often heard the late-night footsteps in the hallway.However,one of my friends,Lao Zheng thought it might be the wind.He believed something might be trying to get in the windows.But the next morning,Xiao Ning,a student who lives next door,found garbage in front of her house.So he thought it might be cats.Everyone in our neighborhood is worried,and everyone has his or her own ideas.Who knows what it is?Who can help us?
