1.The professor could hardly find sufficient grounds ______ his arguments in favor of the new theory.
A.on which to base B.to base on
3.A man who broke into a church was caught yesterday because traces of wax, found on his clothes,_______from the sort of candles used only in churches.
A.had come B.coming C.has come
4.I suggest that you'd better tell her the truth now, otherwise she'll simply keep on asking you until you ______.
A.has done B.do
5.We _______our breakfast when an old man came to the door.
A.just have had B.have just had C.just had D.had just had
6.The thief was caught by the police and had to admit ______the candles in the church.
A.to having stolen B.to have stolen
7.Ever since the family moved to the suburbs last year, they ____better health.
A.could have enjoyed
B.have been enjoying
1选A,因为这是个定语从句,which作前面grounds的定语,如果你选B,那么意思就是 base grounds on his arguements对象就相反了.
5首先从句中when an old man came to the door的came可以排除AB项,然后有个when,那么前面的句子要么是用完成大概时要么是用进行时,所以把C也去掉.PS:just have had是错的句型,just是副词,它修饰的是动词,而 have had是一个句型,have是助动词,had才是动词,所以just应该放在had的前面,也即是B选项
的意思,其中to是介词.admit+sth. admit to+doing sth. admit that
如果是 to base his arguments on 那么可以么? 3.答案是a..
