In Vehicle Requirements:

o Made from an anti-tamper and anti-vandal material
o Encasing either as a single unit or separate units for screen and media unit
$3.Auto On/Off Capability
o Battery power available to power on when vehicle is off
Software:
Screens and Media Units will be installed in transport vehicles with limited internet connectivity (i.e.when transports are located within transport depot).
We are looking for:
Central Server
o Collates content uploaded by client software in format readable and displayable by screen software
o Pushes ready content out to relevant local servers
o Collects information/data re screen status from local servers
o Email error reporting to maintenance department
$1.Local Servers (Multiple in Multiple Depot Locations)
o Receives location-specific ready packaged content from local server
o Pushes to individual transport screens for ready playback
o Logging of successful transfer or failure of downloaded content and reporting back to central server
o Email error reporting to maintenance department
22.Screen Software
o Poll for available Wi-Fi connectivity
o Recognize if updated content is available from local server for download
o Receives location-specific ready packaged content from local servers
o Display content automatically upon ignition of engine
o Logging of content playback records for subsequent uploading to local and central server
o (Optional) GPS logging of content playback records for subsequent uploading to local and central server
$3.Client Software
o Web Based application allowing upload of content by multiple client users to central server
o Ability to categorise content by location/sector etc
Unfortunately we will be unable to use a 3g solution at this time as there will be no reliable 3g signal in the areas we are planing to use the device.
We are therefore looking for a device that will automatically download and store updated content from the server as soon as it enters a wifi area,i.e.in depot over night.
