and he paid Edison $40 000.Edson used the money to build a shop in New Jersey. He had many people
working for him.  But he worked more than others. Can you imagine what Edison's life was like after he
invented the electric lamp (电灯)?Many things had to be invented and built before electric lamps could
really be used by a U.Everything which was needed had to be thought of and built by Edison and his men.
They did things like testing new machines,putting wires (线) underground,fixing lights and so on.He
seemed to be everywhere at the same time.
