就是讲一个句子的主语可能是两个名词,中间由一个连词连着 比如,he and I
但是后面加动词的时候你就需要考虑用什么形式
是用is 还是am 还是are
就近就是指动词遵从离得最近的这个名词
就远就是动词遵从离得最远的这个名词.
举例He rather than I is right
用is就是因为出现了rather than ,于是采用就远 he is的形式
而不是 I am的形式
这类代表的词汇有
as well as；（together/along）with；rather than；except；besides；but；including；in addition to；apart from
当它们出现在主语位置时,连接两个名词时就要就远原则,谓语选择和离动词远的那个名词一致,比如三单什么的
就近原则恰恰相反
举例Not you but your father is to blame
这个主语有两个名词 you 和you father
但是后面用的是is ,这就是就近,和you father保持一致
而不是用you are
代表词汇有there be＋句型; or ; either …or；nor; neither…nor；whether…or；not…but; not only…but also" ; 等.e.g.
还有倒装句
In the distance was heard the clapping of hands and the shouts of the people . 在远处,能听见鼓掌声和人们的呼喊声.
