Wuhan Foreign Languages School (WFLS) was founded in 1964 in Wuhan,People's Republic of China.It offers education from grade 7 to grade 12 with extensive and pioneering English courses while maintaining the same course load in other subjects as comparing to a normal junior high/high schools in China.Other languages such as Japanese,German,French,Russian courses have/had also been provided besides English; a student entering grade 7 is free to choose from any of the languages but can only choose one as his/her second language in the next 6 years.
History
WFLS was one of the first four foreign language middle schools founded in China.In addition it was founded with the help of China's first Prime Minister,Zhou En Lai and Vice Prime Minister,Chen Yi
Location
Currently WFLS is a boarding school with thousands of students living at two campuses.One of the campus is located in Downtown Wuhan and the other campus is located by the beautiful Prince Lake in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone.Most existing buildings in the two campuses were built after 1998.All buildings resemble European/modern styles.
Education
Being one of the best middle schools in the City of Wuhan,WFLS attracts tens of thousands of grade 6 students to write its entrance examination every year and less than two hundred students will be accepted.Other sources of students include those who are from rich and powerful families.WFLS has also established connection with Raffles Institution,Singapore.Every year a group of students graduated from junio high are sent from WFLS to continue education in Singapore.It also has a twin school in Pittsburgh,USA.

武汉外国语学校位于中华人民共和国武汉,成立于1964年.它提供7年级-12年级的教育课程.在像中国其他中学一样提供普通课程的同时,学校还提供全面而先进的英语教育.也有包括日文德文法文俄文之类的小语种.一个在7年级（相当于初一）的学生可以自由选择任意一门语言作为他接下来六年的主要语言课程.
学校历史
武汉外校是中国最早的四所外国语中学之一.除此之外,他还是在中国第一任总理周恩来与副总理陈毅的帮助下成立的.
地理位置
目前武汉外校是一所拥有两所校园,千名在校学生的寄宿制学校.其中一所位处武汉商业区,另一所在武汉高新技术开发区太子湖畔.两所校园内的多数建筑都是1998年后落成的.所有建筑均为仿欧式/现代风格.
学校教育
作为武汉最好的中学之一,武汉外国语学校每年吸引数以万计（译者注,绝对没有,应该是外校自己的人写的）的6年级毕业生前来报考,但是其中只有不到两百名能够被录取.另外一部分生源则是富家公子和高官子弟.武汉外国语学校还与新加坡莱佛士书院建立了联系每年都有一批初中毕业生被送往新加坡深造.（译者注,这已经是过去的事情了）.她在美国匹兹堡市还有一所姊妹学校.
