一般来说,都是the reason why.或者the reason is that.或者是当reason 是从句主语或宾语时不用Why而用that ,但是1994年版的牛津双解字典中在reason 的注释中有一个例句:He complains with reason that he has been punished unfairly.他抱怨所受处罚不公平是有理由的.这句话应怎样理解?为什么 reason前没有定冠词the 句子成分又应怎样划分?其中reason 是什么成分?为什么用reason that 而不用reason why

He complains with reason that he has been punished unfairly.他理由充足地抱怨他受到了不公平的处罚
楼上siooya分析很对,可是翻译有错误,至少是容易导致误解.
"这句话中的with reason是一个词组,相当于一个副词的作用,表示有理由的,用来修饰complain,而that引导的是一个从句,做complain的宾语
句子的结构应该是complain that..."
另外,如果用了定冠词the,那么,the reason that...就变成的宾语从句,意义就截然相反了.
