Jacob and Cherry are going on vacation .But they are not leaving their apartment empty .Their neighobor ,Luck ,is apartment-sitting for them .He stays in their apartment fora week .Apartment-sitting isn't hard .The mail carrier are not delivering the mail ,so Luke isnot picking it up .Jacob and Cherry don't have plants in their apartment ,so Luke is not watering any plants .Jacob and Cherry's neighbors are doing a favor for them .They are delivering the newspaper .Luke is doing another favor for them .He is answering the phone .He is takeing.第二个短文.The villagers were going to have a big party after the good harvest.They borrowed a large barrel grom the nearest town and put it in the middle of the village square .The hesd of the village said ,"Each of you should bring a bottle of your best wine here and put it into the barrel .So we'll have a lot of wine to drink at the party ."One of the villagers thought he was very clever ."If i put a bottle of water instead of wine ,no one will know it ."he said to himself ,"because there will be much good wine in the barrel and people won't find out ."The night of theparty arrived .Everyone came to the square with their bottles and glasses for the wine .When they drank the wine from the barrel ,they found what they got from the barrel was only pure water .Everyone in the cillage had the same idea.
