收到Univerisity of Georgia的email,说要求verification of lawful presence才能入学.请问需要什么材料
If you are not currently a U.S.citizen and you are not residing in the U.S.or if you are present in the U.S.as an immigranton a visa,we will be able to confirm your lawful presence through the U.S.Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS) for students on an F,J or M visa or the Systematic Alien verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program.The documents you provided prior to your official acceptance at UGA should be sufficient for this.

再问： 是这样的，我还没有收到offical acceptance。学校说有了lawful presence才给发offical acceptance。我不明白，不是先有了admission才能去签证么？
再答： lawful presence不是什么文件，是指能合法入境美国。offical acceptance是指你到达美国时候的身份和签证类型是符合法律规定的。学校只是在提醒你入境前要完成哪些步骤，当然我上面说的那2步是得等学校给你admssion和I-20表后才能完成的，所以先耐心等录取通知吧。你申请时给学校发过护照复印件吗？
